long exposure rocks. love the colors (none added or enhanced)...
i wasn't sure if these would turn out (this is one of several similar shots) because of all the garbage and graffiti down there. but i LOVE the rays of light going against the shadow line, and the long shadows cast by the rough surface. sweet shapes
fun angles. this is the bridge above the graffiti tunnel.
i didn't ask permission. hope they don't mind. i like the expectant, potential-energy poses.
"i... am your new... director!"
how often do you get a chance to shoot underwater?
great angles, colors, and textures here. not sure i captured it well.
this is sort of reverse of a conventional 'portrait,' with the subjects darker and shadowed, while the background is well-lit and colorful. in retrospect i think it would've been better not to include the tall grass in the shot.
close-ups of people are hard for me. i like that some of the focused, quiet mood of the room was preserved in this pic (for me at least).
movie reference. also a photo i've seen before, but i like collecting photos that have impressed me.
Pineconesh! i think i saw a similar photo when i was a child. cool patterns. got up early for this one... it's way different when the sun's coming almost horizontal.
this is here because i was amazed by what Kyle Gentz's 50mm could do, depth-of-field-wise.
the Birch family (i think) near our cabin. i'm not sure why i like this. maybe the white bark, which you don't see very often when you live in Fresno.
feels contemplative. love soft lighting and the divisions (i wish i knew the photography term for that)
i love all the different patterns here. both shirts, the blanket, the jeans, the chair, the blinds, the stone hearth, hair.
some of us were responsible that weekend, and also looked awesome.
"put me in the show!!" - Rabbi Evian Wade Esquire III
admit it... cliche, but still cool.
her idea. i see where it came from... i felt like a little kid again, walking around barefoot in the mud, and climbing things i shouldn't be. =)
doubled overlay effect.
silhouettes are fun. she said her bangs look weird, but i like the pic alot better with them.
NOT easy... especially since all the exercise i get is walking to and from classes / meals.
convergence, or something...
she steals my shades. it's kind of a ritual.
i like high places.
partial 'graphic pen' filter.
=) i walked past it a few steps, then stopped and backtracked as my twisted mind considered what kind of fun i might have with such a sign.
originally 'no dumping drains to bay'.
(more contrast... took out a door and a green umbrella thingy)
('cutout' texture... also removed the bathroom sign)
the bottom bunk: my ninja cave.
silhouettes are neat.
don't try this at home.
some kind of agent... or something...
his cubicle, mirror-view.
kind of scary, huh?
